The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) in Tamil Nadu has released the Round 1 rank list for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) 2025 on its official website, tneaonline.org. Students can log in using their registered email ID and password to get their personal rank cards.
The TNEA 2025 ranks were made using Class 12 scores from Math, Physics, and Chemistry. Math marks were adjusted to a scale of 100, and Physics and Chemistry were combined and also scaled to 100. This year, 2,39,299 students were given ranks in the general list. Those who scored a perfect 200 were ranked between 1 and 141.
The rank list includes important information like the candidate’s application number, full name, birth date, total marks out of 200, their category, and the rank within that category. If a student finds any mistake in their rank, they can visit the TNEA office or nearby TNEA Facilitation Centres (TFCs) for in-person help between June 28 and July 2.
Along with the rank list, officials have also shared the full counselling schedule for TNEA 2025, which will run from July 14 to August 19. During this time, students will get seats in BTech programs at top colleges under Anna University, such as College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), Madras Institute of Technology (MIT), Alagappa College of Technology (ACT), the School of Architecture and Planning (SAP), and regional centers in Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Madurai, and Tirunelveli.
To check their ranks, students should visit tneaonline.org and click the ‘Rank Details’ link to view and download the category-wise rank list PDFs. The admission process will follow merit, available seats, and reservation rules to ensure everything is done fairly and clearly for students across the state.
